      What exactly does BetterSelf do? +

      BetterSelf connects to your bank via Basiq Open Banking to automatically identify and track gambling transactions. It then shows you clear spending data, lets you set weekly limits, log daily check-ins, and access support resources — all in one private, secure place.

      Is my bank account information safe? +

      Absolutely. We use Basiq, an ACCC-accredited CDR data recipient that connects via read-only open banking — we can see your transactions, but we can never move your money. All data is encrypted with AES-256 at rest and TLS in transit. We comply fully with the Australian Privacy Act.

      Does BetterSelf work with my bank? +

      BetterSelf supports all major Australian banks including Commonwealth Bank, ANZ, NAB, Westpac, and over 150 others via Basiq's network. If your bank is CDR-compliant — most Australian banks are — it will work.

      Will BetterSelf judge me? +

      Never. BetterSelf is built on a simple belief: awareness leads to change, and change happens at your own pace. Our AI coach is trained to be compassionate, non-judgmental, and focused on progress — not perfection. You're here because you want to do better, and that already says everything.

      Is it really free? +
